I want my bridesmaids to look beautiful, however, do not want to have them pay $200 just for a dress – being in a wedding is expensive. Does anyone know of a bridesmaid dress rental company? Is there such a thing? Would you want to wear a dress someone else wore?

Guys rent tuxes all the time and they don’t seem to mind, why can’t women.

Hellooooo, Kate! First of all, thanks for stopping by! Secondly, while there’s quite a few places that do bridal gown rentals, there are few that do bridesmaid dress rentals. However, I did come across this site – http://www.llrental.com/bridesmaids/index.html – that seemed to offer the largest selection.

But if it’s any Consolation to buying, I know several weddings that I’ve been in where the dudes have paid well over $100 (some even over $200) for tux rentals… and they have to return them next day! At least us girls get to keep something for out moolah :)

This blog is great! We just set a date for Oct 8, 2011 and these ideas will be so useful!

I’m having a black tie wedding in Newport, RI. I’d like to use the color scheme of royal blue, black and either white or cream. I’d love to find some photos of receptions with this color palatte. Thanks!

Umm, can I first start by saying… Greatest.Date.Ever. As well as your fab(to the)ulous wedding taking place on 10.08, it’s also my birthday! Hooray! I bet after y’all get hitched, we’ll be able to apply for national holiday status. Haha!

As far as inspiration station images, might I suggest Google Images. If you’re just looking for ideas, this is a great place to start! You can either search for wedding reception ideas / centerpieces / accessories / etc. and narrow your results by selecting royal blue OR simply search for blue and silver, blue and black, blue and cream wedding ideas! Good luck and let me know how things develop!
