About Me

Hello, friends!  My name is Mary Dietz (formally THEE Mary Kidwell), and I am super pumped to dish about all things WEDDING! I recently got married this past November, which not only makes me an expert on all things matrimonial but – let’s be honest – life in general… alright, maybe not life, but I’m hard pressed to find anything more life affirming than being the sole author of The Best Wedding Blog EVER of Marilyn’s Keepsakes.

As a 2006 graduate of Indiana University’s (Hoo-Hoo-Hoo-Hoosiers!) School of Journalism, I am über proud of my thirst for knowledge.  In fact, because of all the extra courses I took during my four year stint at IU, I may be the only person on the history of the planet to have “accidently” minor in two subjects (History and Foreign Language), and it’s this kind of nerd quality I find to be one of my most likeable traits!

I am the Internet Marketing Manager for Marilyn’s Keepsakes, which bestowed upon me the great fortune of creating this wonderful blog!  (Basically, I get paid to have fun and talk about girly wedding stuff all day! SCORE!)  We were inspired to create The Best Wedding Blog EVER after my engagement during the winter of 2009 and have been BLASTIN’ ever since!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the beautiful proposal from my Mister, Tanner.  He and I met a little over four years ago during my senior year.  I was a smitten kitten from the start, and still consider him my greatest blessing and most favorite friend!  <Siiiighhhhh>  Each and every day, I feel blessed to be married to the love of my life, surrounded by friends and family, who continue to make my journey down this road called Life the best one it could possibly be.

And now, I’m reaching out to you (yes, you!) to share / contribute / vent / laugh / cry / advise / etc. anything you have to offer.  ‘Cause Lord knows, no matter how much knowledge we may have or how together we may appear, deep down, we’re all just a bunch of hot messes, reaching out to one another – looking for some love!

Post Script:  Below are some links to the Mister + Me’s Wedding, Roaring 20’s and Engagement Session Pics!  Enjoy!

I love your roaring 20s pics & your post about walking down the aisle with dad. Sigh. I got married in September, and I thought my interest in wedding would end their–but I was wrong. Still fun to think about and read about!

Hey Blondini! First of all, love love love the name :) Secondly, the uber cute gravatar was created by a co-worker who spent many tedious hours in Adobe InDesign. For cereal, I don’t know how she didn’t keep her eyes from going crossed!
